DAWG Walk Part 2

Thanks to all of those who came out to the 16th. Annual Dawg Walk and Pet Adotption Faire June 26th. We had alot of fun and Hana (cooling off under the table) made some new friends. It was perfect weather for it too. Some came out to offer a new home to some very lovable rescue dogs and others found some treats for their 4-legged family members. Many folks had never seen a Footbike so there was a lot of interest. We did some demo runs around the park to show everyone how you can mush with your dog. For those of you who signed up for our next demo day, stay tuned we'll have one scheduled right here when it cools down a bit. J.M.I. (just mush it!)

A Display of Gratitude

Try as I might to promote the Footbike brand with demo days, consumer shows, rolling billboards, etc. I can't help thinking there are always more ways to generate awareness. I have been blessed with great friends and acquintences that have supported me in the past with numerous suggestions as well as booth space to market Footbikes to.

From car shows to Home garden tours to RV shows to Dog walks, all of these ideas present our lil' ol scooter valid marketing opportunities. However I am but One Footbike soldier battling the depressed economy and there are many shows, so little time. So I thought it would help if I posted in advance where I will be to kick and chat about the FB. Take a look at the event section to the right and the Demo Day locations which will soon fill up our calendar.
Thanks to all for their continued support incl:

Don't Tell Me I Can't...

Once in awhile you meet someone who is an inspiration. Doris Matyasovich entered her first Mountain Bike race in 1989...she was 45. Featured in Outside Magazine blog "Cycling in Her 60's"
she recalls when she became Mountain Biking's eldest Downhill National Champion in her class.

In her 18 year racing career Doris has been inducted into Team Big Bear Hall of Fame and she has won several State and National Cross-Country and Downhill Championships including a Master's World Downhill Championship at age 60.
Doris continues to impress (but not surprise) her friends and family by competing in various cycling events. Her latest accomplishment:Finishing the Warriors Society Counting Coup this year.

44 miles and 8,000+ ft. of elevation gain, Doris is now the oldest female to complete the CC.

Not only is she a published author, "Don't Tell Me I Can't..." found at bike shops and on E-Bay, Doris is a fellow Footbiker and inspiration to all.

   Way to go, Doris!

Kick Scooters' Time has Come

Imagine writing about something you enjoy so much you want to share, inform and entertain others with and then reading about the same topic written in one of the largest circulating published titles, Time Magazine "Kickbike and Enjoy It"  By Harriet Barovick. Just getting the word footbike, kick bike, urban mushing mentioned in this article has sent Footbikeusa.com analytics off the charts as well as Kickbikeusa.com, diggler.com, SoCal Urban Mushing (way to go Rancy!) and others are getting some well deserved attention. I admit the press is great and any positive media attention is a good thing but I chose Footbiking to blog about because it is more than a trend: Footbiking is a state of mind. When you kick you get the runners high, mountain biking's vision from an epic ride and the rush of carving fresh powder giving you that hit of adrenaline and peacefulness at the same time. Here I have tried to describe the feeling but you have to experience it by kicking down the street or at your favorite local park to truly Enjoy IT!
